Behind the Scenes: Abounding Love

Hello beautiful people. If you haven’t been a part of the fun cover reveal of my first novella, I want to first introduce you to the cover. To be honest? I can’t believe this is my book’s cover. My team is absolutely incredible.

AL2

This is a fictitious story inspired by my friend’s love story. He lost his battle to pancreatic cancer in May and this was a grief project for me. I miss him dearly but the memories, words and thoughts he left behind will forever stay with me, and hopefully now with you. Literally, a piece of my heart is in these pages. I’ve said it before and I will always say it.

To my extraordinary team, wow. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for you. To Cat and Melissa, my PA extraordinaire, to my design team, starting with CJC Photography’s image, and TE Black Designs Cover Design. Then every single person who has held my hand through this, has offered an encouraging word and has sent me your love while I processed through the loss and the words, thank you.

The exciting and less mushy news is that the book is already on pre-order on Amazon.

Author Interview: Kristen Hope Mazzola

❤ Kristen shared some fun information about herself. I always love learning about the authors I follow. Her work is fun, loving and just all around great reads. I encourage you to seek her out! If you’re lucky to have Kindle Unlimited, all but a few of her books are free on KU!

Without further adieu, here is our blog interview with Kristen Hope Mazzola!

Q: Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Do you write full time?

KHM: I am a Florida girl, born and raised! I absolutely love the ocean and fishing. I do a day job but am phasing myself out to become a full time author.

Q: How did you get into writing?
KHM: I got into writing by mistake. I started writing short stories to pass the time at a desk job I hated. I slowly started realizing that I was writing a novel and that is how Crashing Back Down (my first book) came to be.
Q: What does your writing space look like?

KHM: It’s my bed. hahahaha
Q: Do you have a favorite book of your own? If not, which book was the hardest to write?

KHM: My favorite book that I have written… that’s a tough one. I really love The Hysterics because the characters have so much of me in them, but Hat Trick has stolenGorgeous tattooed girl with provocative make up sitting between

my heart a little bit.

Q: Who was your most favorite character, and why?

KHM: Fallon Dunbar from The Hysterics – hands down. She is my heart. I just love her so freaking much.
Q: How do you deal with writer’s block?

KHM: I take long baths or I start working on another book. I typically write 2-3 books at a time just for this reason.
Q: Pick one of your books, and if it were being made into a movie, who would play the lead roles? Why?

KHM: Ok. I’ll pick Playoff Beard (just because it is the newest and freshest in my brain)… Will Crosby would be played by Chris Pine and Jordan Bates would be played by Jessica Stroup
Fiona Note: Playoff Beard release 6/15!
Q: If someone is brand new to your work, what book do you think they should start with?
KHM: Either Hat Trick (the first int he Shots on Goal Series) or The Hysterics (a

standalone rockstar romance)
Q: What would you like readers to take away from your writing?

KHM: I want them to feel love and happiness by the end of my books.
Q: Anything else you’d like to share with your readers?

KHM: I just want to say thank you. Without all of the readers out there I would have never seen my dreams come true.
Kristen, thank you for sharing some of your heart to us. ❤

Author Interview: Nancee Cain

Today, I am SO excited to introduce to you one of my favorite authors, Nancee Cain. She is one of few people to hold my hand in this industry, and probably one of the few authors I can say I pray for them to hit it big, because they truly deserve it. I can’t wait to share you her work!

Without further delay, here is Nancee Cain, romance with a serrated edge!

Nancee Cain ❤
1. Tell us about yourself. Where are you from? Do you write full time?
I’m Nancee Cain and I live in the backwoods of Alabama. I work full time as a nurse/counselor in the field of addiction. I’m addicted to coffee, my TBR pile is ridiculously long and I love to stalk my favorite authors for signed swag. I’m an autograph collector and amateur photographer.
2. How did you get into writing
I’ve written stories since I was a kid. In Jr. High School my goal was to make my friends cry with my horrible, angsty short stories.
3. What does your writing space look like? Do you want to share a photo?
I work in a corner of my bedroom. And no, I’m afraid you’d call Hoarders on me.
4. Do you have a favorite book of your own? If not, which book was the hardest to write?
Wow. That’s like asking which is your favorite child. Saving Evangeline was my first published, so it’s really close to my heart. My just released novel, The Resurrection of Dylan McAthie is my very first completed novel. And Tempting Jo was just fun to write. There’s a lot of me in Jo.
5. Pick one of your books (if you have more than one), and if it were being made into a movie, who would play the lead roles? Why?
The Resurrection of Dylan McAthie. He’s actually a bit too old for the role, but Jared Leto is how I picture Dylan, and Hannah James as Jennifer Adams.
6. If someone is brand new to your work, what book do you think they should start with?
It depends. If they like paranormal, Saving Evangeline. Contemporary, The Resurrection of Dylan McAthie.
7. What would you like readers to take away from your writing?
Life isn’t perfect. We all face hardship. But life is easier and 100% better when you find the person who “gets you” and loves you, flaws and all.
8. Anything else you’d like to share with your readers?
I LOVE hearing from my readers. I’m always on fb/twitter/instagram. Come find me!
Thank you Nancee for visiting us. I look forward to celebrating your official release Wednesday!
❤ Tata,
Fiona

My Reading Corner: I read because…

This is my reading corner. I put my feet up and travel to a new world. As I write, I cherish reading even more. I realize how much love and effort it takes to make those worlds happen.

As I read a new book, I realize how much I love this. I love reading and meeting new characters. I love escaping my own mind to another.

Show me your reading corner, or send a kudos to your favorite author!

To all my authors who treat me to an amazing adventure, thank you!

Until the next post – Tata!

First Book Update: Draft Complete – Now Revisions, Revisions, Revisions!

It is official. I have completed my first draft of my first book: Pursuing Hope: Part 1. It has been a definite pleasure to get the first part of Chad and Hope’s story out on paper. I am finding revising to be just as fun.

This story comes from the heart, and I know it needs to be heard. How and what needs to change or added is where I am trying to figure out now. I am doing my first round of revisions and then handing this baby off to 5 beautifully qualified beta-readers. I am truly honored to have them on my team.

I hope you guys will meet them in my blog very soon.

For now —

I leave you this beauty I found on : http://www.rinchupeco.com

When your story is a reflection of someone’s reality…

I am nearing the half way point of writing my first book. I can’t believe how this story has developed. It started with a simple idea about a sweet love story, which has developed into an idea for a series to benefit one of my favorite organizations. (Because I haven’t officially approached the organization in which I want to benefit, I will withhold the name until approved.)

This military romance is a story from my heart, as a reflection of conversations over coffee, wine, beer and many tears with friends who live this life. They face so many challenges which are not limited to: combat, combat loss/injury, PTSD, military and family conflict and family balance. As a result, I am doing my best to reflect the gravity of these issues with as much sensitivity as possible.

The military life isn’t all bad. That much I know. I want to do this part of their life justice too. The commitment comes with benefits that I am convinced that one can’t find as a civilian. The depth of camaraderie, faith, loyalty and discipline developed in the lives of my friends is insurmountable. I want to reflect this too. I am blessed to experience this life with them.

I don’t think there are enough words to do my friends’ life and commitment justice but with their support and love I press forward with my words.

Thank you everyone for your constant support and I look forward to sharing this very sweet story-series with you soon!
Until the next post – tata!
